STUDY GROUP ON SPINAL ORTHOPAEDIC AND REHABILITATION TREATMENT - SOSORT The SOSORT was created in January 2004 in Barcelona. Specialists in orthopaedics and/or rehabilitation as well as physiotherapists and other medical professionals dealing with spinal disorders are invited to participate to the activities of the SOSORT. We encourage also patients and their families to cooperate with SOSORT. The first important project of the SOSORT is creation of an international database of patients children and adolescents suffering from idiopathic scoliosis and requiring non-surgical treatment. The objective is to perform an international prospective controlled multicenter study on the effectiveness of various conservative therapies proposed for idiopathic scoliosis. The SOSORT organizes annual meetings.
